Illustrious Goals

At its core, the Supremus Class is a well intentioned, but redundant spaceframe too large for the demands of modern fleet design. It has effectively become a member of "stepping stone" classes like the Cabrera and Tejas. Designs, which have the dubious distinction of aiding or spurring the development of more successful starships. Much of its pioneering elements are employed on the Intrepid Class and its general layout serves as the template for the Sovereign and Century Classes.

Since its introduction in 2364, the Supremus service career has been adequate but certainly nothing to write home about. Its remaining eight odd members are actively sought by starship enthusiasts, which can be a rare sight when docked in Federation bases. As for Starfleet Command, the type is set to continue service for at least a few more decades. If there’s one thing the Supremus still excels at, its independent deep space exploration.
