In a mission of mercy, Starfleet sends the USS Kansai and her trusty escort, the USS Hirokane to the Ergean homeworld. The planet's southern continent has recently suffered an ecological disaster, prompting the Federation to assist. Onboard the Kansai are the UFP's best and brightest scientists, adamant in solving this predicament.
