Gripen - Royal Canadian Air Force

Debate continues over the RCAF's procurement woes as its JSF plan suffers cutbacks and delays. An interesting alternative comes in the form of the Swedish JAS-39. Its relatively low cost makes it an attractive contender to the Canadian situation. Single engined fighters have come a long way since the maligned CF-104 and the Gripen's high technology roughly offers much of the CF-35's abilities, with the obvious exception of stealth.
