F-117 - Royal Air Force

In the 1990's, Lockheed discretely offered the F-117 to the Royal Air Force, with some upgrades to its systems and powerplant. Had the UK accepted, it would have been the first foreign country to acquire a stealth aircraft. However, being an "early adopter" has its drawbacks and the MoD declined the F-117 in favor of pursuing newer the JSF instead.
