Description

Alternate Timeline: As the nineties dawned, Eastern bloc air forces were restocked and upgraded with new materiel. The goal was to further erode the technological gap against NATO forces whilst maintaining numerical superiority. The Mikoyan MiG-32 (NATO Reporting Name: “Flogger-S” or "Super Flogger") is the ultimate revision of the MiG-23 frame. Taking cues from comparable western programs (F-4X and F-20), the MiG-32 saw a focused emphasis on air to air roles such as interception and maneuverability. A revised nose section with MiG-29 tech, autosweep settings and a new powerplant layout are among its strong points.

A refit and newbuild program continues with Soviet units and client states. And reports of localized aerial skirmishes over Poland, Sri Lanka and Libya have caused great concern to the Western alliance.
