Canaveral

This is one of the more interesting side-projects from my personal modding workshop. This is basically a subtle re-texture of the mesh, with improved glows, textures and all that usual stuff.

Now at first glance, this may look like one of those grunts from STO, but you're dead wrong. This one predates the game by a number of years and was flying around long before Cryptic decided to launch its Trek MMO.

She's called the Canaveral Class, and was she developed by the fine folks from the Fleet Operations Team. I'll let them describe this one:

"The Canaveral class was originally designed for the Federation and not for Starfleet. It was meant as a small well-rounded vessel, which would allow the member planets of the Federation which don't have shipyards of their own to build their own vessels and explore space or guard their trading vessels. During the Dominion war, Starfleet refitted many Canaveral class vessels with long range phasers. With the Dominion War over, the Canaveral class became an increasingly common Starfleet vessel."
