AR Shuttle 2

This is my rendition of the "second" USS Enterprise shuttlecraft used in Star Trek (2009). Aptly named AR Shuttle 2 since model "1" is the winged version with the stubby nacelles. XD

In the film, several of these shuttles were featured boarding the Enterprise. Among them were shuttles Gilliam and Moore.

Featuring the more familiar TOS "Galileo" design style, there are very few references for this shuttle except for screencaps across the interwebs and the official STXI Art Book I think, which I do not have sadly.

Anyway, using several high resolution screenshots from Ariane's website, I was able to extrapolate this basic profile view of the craft. This little project of mine has been a long time coming. I started this undertaking back in mid-January and I nearly gave up on this one due to the lack of reference pics. But as time passed, I finally decided to convince myself to finish her up with the final details and "fill up the gaps" so to speak. Do note that I took lots of artistic license on the final detailing, especially on the bottom part and nacelles, since reference pics of that area was virtually non existent.

All in all though, it turned out to be a decent effort at best. I really like this design very much. Looks quite modern, industrial and really stays true to the original Galileo. Props goes to John Eaves for this design, oh and ILM too for rendering it.
